Things YOU eat, that other people think is weird.
by misanthropic inthis mornings events have got me thinking about things.
i love peanut butter, not the sweet kind but i like the old fashioned peanut butter, usually laura scudder's with no sugar or preservatives - it just tastes better imo.
i put it on everything including pancakes which are really good with peanut butter and maple syrup.

Corn ice cream, corn fritters, corn on the cob, corn whiskey (bourbon), corn niblets, creamed corn, corn casserole, corn salad, barleycorn, corn chowder, corn soup, corn flour, corn syrup, candy corn, it's all good!
How about purple corn coolaid? I drank that in Peru, it is called chicha morada. They also tried to make me eat guinea pig and deep fried frog, the whole frog...

Then I add arare rice crackers (mochi crunch) with the mix....it is so delicious.
Leolai any kind of mochi is deliscious! I love organic mochi from the health food store that I bake. It puffs up all crispy and chewy. hhhmmmmmmmmm
Today I ate raw eggplant and mom thought that was really wierd. I eat raw veggies of all kinds with organic apple cider viniger and evaporated sea salt.

I'm feeling a bit queesy imagining what some of you eat...blaaaaaaaaaack! But people have that same reaction to food I eat. Tempeh is my favorite protien, sietan, kim chi, miso, natto with wasabi (my favorite but can't get it locally anymore-looks like soybeans in slimy snot), and the occasional Tofurkey. I love sea vegetables too. Megs I make a dressing similar to your favorite sauce but I use raw sesame tahini in place of the PB, don't cook it, and no sugar.
My husband eats wierd combos like Seeker, he eats PB + thickly spread Miracle Whip sandwiches and other wierd combinations.

Talk on Apostates
by IslandBrother inhave you ever walked on the beach and tried following another persons footprints; matching your own steps with them as exactly as possible?
by calling ourselves christians, we have indicated our desire to do just that, to follow closely in the footsteps of christ.
have you ever noticed though that on a crowded beach, , there were several sets of footprints, many of them may look alike.

Someone already mentioned this but it is worth mentioning again.
Jesus would have been considered an apostate by the Governing Body and would have been disfellowshipped. He taught heresy according to the Jewish leaders, and according to the Watchtower today.
The WT today teaches that we must be "footstep followers of Christ" and yet the Bible says that we are saved not by what we do, how we walk, or our personal righteousness but by one thing and one thing only; the Holy blood of Jesus Christ.
It is not what we do but what He did for us. It is not our footsteps but His walk to the cross that can make us right with Jehovah. Therefore the Watchtower society is apostate from Jehovah because they teach another gospel, one of works not grace.
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags...
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Welcome to the board!

My Music is Up Again
by Farkel ini know this part of jw.com is about 'friends" and i also know that i don't have any, or very few of them.
the friends i do have are awesome, and the friends i don't have don't know what they are missing!.
that being said, several human beings have asked me to provide them access to some of the music i have recorded in the last few years.. since i happen to be working on a website that i can get access to, i uploaded some of my stuff there.

: Can you play some good ol county music and put one up there to download?
I would rather join the jihadest movement and blow myself up!
LOL ...
so you probably would not be caught dead playing the bluegrass banjo songs Dave and I are practicing for the Seniors in the nursing homes!
His band will not let him even bring his banjo to practice, that is banjo discrimination.

Need Some Education On EVOLUTION? Start Here! Perry & Axal take note!
by Seeker4 inperry started a thread on evolution/atheism, which from his very first post showed an incredible ignorance of evolution and natural selection.
axal's comments on the thread were just asinine - how all the atheists in his area were at the strip clubs fighting over women and fornicating!
i have to say that i live in a small town and have been here for half a century, and i couldn't name five people that i know here who are atheist.

Hi all!
Just popping into the thread to tell you all who posted comments to me that I am not ditching the thread I am still very tired from Wednesday. Not sure if I have anything more to add but I'll read it over when I am more refreshed.
Wednesday at the nursing home was really great. They are so happy to see us, I had a little group with a few beautiful children giving out cards and hugs. The only one who refused to take a beautiful homemade card from this little precious child was....of course you know..a JW. Could not even taka a card.
Anyway, love to you all.

Problems with pets.
by greendawn indo you ever get trouble with your pets?
i have a dog and i want it to be free to roam in this quiet semi urban area with plenty of fields around but i can't because it will search around, find females and enter into private gardens and yards to have sex with them.
of course the owners may not appreciate this and create a scene or ensnare him and hand him over to animal protection as a stray or perhaps poison him.

Greendawn I think dogs are happier after they have been spayed and neurtered. I have 6 dogs and just recently had the youngest spayed.
Male dogs that are not neutered are a problem for themselves and others because they are driven to mate. When they do find a female in heat we end up with a littler of unwanted puppies that often end up in medical research and dog pounds. The very few that do find a home are very few.
They don't know what they lost! They are just much more content to be your friend.
